iVitals — Privacy Policy

iVitals is an experimental wellness app that estimates vital-sign indicators from your phone camera. This policy explains what we collect and how we handle it. iVitals is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

Using iVitals without an account

You can use iVitals for free without an account. When you do:

Your camera runs only in your browser. Video frames are processed on your device to compute numbers (pulse, respiration, and other estimates). Raw camera video is never uploaded or stored by us.
Without an account, results are shown one scan at a time and are not saved anywhere by us.
We keep basic usage counters — that the app was opened, that a scan or voice check-in was run, that a share button was used — tied to a random identifier stored on your device (and to your account email if you are signed in). These counters never include your results or any health values, and we use them only to understand how iVitals is used.

If you create an account

Creating a free account lets you save results and sync across devices. In that case we collect and store:

Your email address (used to sign in and to send one-time sign-in codes).
Your first name, only if you choose to provide it (optional; used to personalize the app).
Your saved results — the computed numbers from scans you choose to save (for example pulse, HRV, respiration, and blood-pressure estimates) and any calibration you enter. These are wellness estimates, not clinical measurements. We do not store raw camera video or audio.
A PIN you set, stored only as a salted cryptographic hash (we cannot read your PIN).

How we use and protect it

We use this data only to provide the app: signing you in, and saving/syncing the results you asked us to save.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on our server. Sign-in session tokens are cryptographically signed.
We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

Third parties

We use Mailgun to deliver sign-in code emails, and standard cloud hosting to run the service. We share the minimum needed for these functions.

Keeping and deleting your data

You can delete individual saved scans, and clear your calibration, from within the app.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at support@ivitals.app. We will delete it promptly.

Children

iVitals is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
